9/13/2023 0 Comments Black light golf time gatlinburg![]() With a mixture of blacklight and creatively themed holes, it was a great course! Through a jungle theme, guest play 18 holes, again in a climate controlled environment. Treasure Quest Miniature Golf was another fun stop while on the Parkway. With great props and theming this course was challenging and fun! Next door we also enjoyed the Mirror Maze! ![]() The indoor AC was enjoyable as we played through the blacklight circus theme. We stopped in after a long afternoon of shopping. The most unexpected course was the Blindshot Barnaby’s Circus Golf. Our kids loved it and got a few hole in ones! From storms to the 2016 fire, you can tell how this course is truly mountain tough and has come through any obstacle it has faced. It is also very interesting to see how close the fire truly came to this historic course. The course is great with wonderful obstacles. After your 18 holes are finished you take a quick ride back down. At Hillbilly Golf guest ride the incline train to the top and play the course on the side of the mountain. The most unique course we played on is also the most unique course in the world. Their under the sea theming and the lovely addition of air conditioning make this 9 hole course a perfect escape on a hot summer afternoon! With a Gatlin’s Fun pass you can combine activities to enjoy golf, bumper cars, laser tag and more! Check out all of the fun here! With an outdoor course and an indoor course you can stay busy all day right in the center of the Parkway. Our favorite 9 hole course was the indoor Blacklight Golf at Gatlin’s Fun Center. We played 99 holes of golf in 4 days on 5 very different courses! Fun in all weather conditions from indoor to outdoor to on the side of a mountain, Gatlinburg is the place to mini-golf! Our family loves mini-golf, and we have never seen a town that caters to more family fun than Gatlinburg. It's certainly a more linear experience but its still has some great puzzles and I still recommend it.If you have not visited the gorgeous town on Gatlinburg, Tennessee, you might not think a visit to the mountains would also be the best place to play miniature golf. Gatlin's Escape adversities this as their newest room and it shows as there a larger emphasis toward effects and spectacle (fitting for a magic room) and yes, you actually get to do magic tricks. Master's of Magic: Usually when an escape room does a magic theme they tend to lean toward Merlin sorcery style or a Harry Potter knock-off, here at Gatlin's the wonderful world of stage magic takes front and center. Meanwhile the whole experience was elevated by our GM "Cousin Brandon" who really added that extra kick of Hillbilly flavor Moonshine Hootenanny is just an utter treat to play, clever puzzles, fun tech, a truly different theme and set that you will not find anywhere else and some wonderful "wow" moments that feed in the theme and story. Out of all the escape games we played during our weekend in Tennessee this was our absolute favorite. Moonshine Hootenanny: Tired of diamond heists, zombies, serial killers and prison escapes? Then ohhhhh boy this room is for you. Traditional mode is your standard three hint system, however you can still ask for more with the only penalty being that your team will not be added to the success percentage. Casual mode, offers unlimited hints and lots of friendly nudges so players wanting to play an escape room but are unsure of their skill level should consider this option as you will most likely have the full experience. All housed in a very fun building with friendly staff with a clear love for the hobby makes this a bucket list location.īefore I go in-depth with the games we played I find it noteworthy to mention that Gatlin's has a very unique hint system as they feature two ways to play. Gatlin's Escapes feature high quality rooms with creative themes and fun puzzles that have been on the upper tier of all the games I've played. As someone who has played over 100 rooms I need to preface this review by saying if you love escape rooms or interested in getting into the hobby I can not stress enough how much you need to visit this location.
